Our Favourite Walks
Bilms and Bug absolutely love going on walks and adventures around Devon and Cornwall, especially with their friends. We have explored many lovely places over the years and we wanted to share a few of our favourites with you all.
Burrator Reservoir - Situated on Dartmoor is this beautiful walk consisting of moorland, tors, woodland and water. This is definitely a walk to take your camera on and I would recommend going on a sunny and clear day to get the full potential of the views. You can easily spend an entire day here, so take a picnic and soak up the power of nature. https://visitdartmoor.co.uk/attraction/burrator-reservoir/
Welcombe Mouth - This is a walk close to my heart as I have lots of lovely memories here, not far from my Grandparents house, we would often take the dogs for a trip to the beach. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/devon/bideford-bay-and-hartland/a-short-walk-around-welcombe-mouth
Bude Canal - This walk is a great chance to spot some wildlife, close to the marshes, beach and coffee shops you can spend the majority of a day here, there is plenty of car park options close by and even a pop up market on certain days of the week. https://www.visitbude.info/walks-guides/bude-canal-and-coast-path-circular-walk/
Rock to Polzeath - This is a truly beautiful walk especially on a sunny day, spectacular views of the coast and multiple beach stops along the way, although some do have dog restrictions but you can avoid these and still enjoy the route. We camp in Padstow once a year and will get the ferry across to Rock and walk from there. https://www.iwalkcornwall.co.uk/walk/rock_to_polzeath
Greysands Beach, Appledore - At low tide this is a fantastic walk with views of Appledore, Lundy island and Crow Point, lots of soft sand for zoomies and fun, this is probably Bugs favourite walk and she likes to meet her friends here. https://beaches-searcher.com/en/beach/826201300/greysands-beach
